What a VIN adds to your inquiry
A VIN is the vehicle identification number. Sharing it as a reference may help review vehicle details alongside make, model and year. Basic vehicle information can also be checked with the official NHTSA VIN decoder.
Identifying a vehicle and confirming a part are separate steps. Ask the supplier to check the exact reference of the offered part against your configuration. If a detail remains unresolved, keep fitment marked as pending before deciding.
Gather the part reference
A clear label photo can be more useful than an approximate description. If you have photos, attach them yourself in your WhatsApp conversation with BUSCA.
- Vehicle make, model, year and trim, if known.
- VIN, when available, and relevant configuration changes known to your repair shop.
- Part number or legible code from the unit you need to replace.
- General photos and label or connection details the supplier needs to review.
- City, state and the specific part you are asking about.
If you do not have the VIN yet
You can start with vehicle details and a description of the part. The VIN is optional in the public BUSCA form. Explain what information is missing so the inquiry is not treated as verified fitment.
If a reference does not match or is unclear, check with the supplier and your repair shop before buying. BUSCA provides a channel to prepare and coordinate your inquiry. This page does not decode VINs or display a catalog of compatible parts.
Share only the details needed
Avoid posting your VIN alongside personal documents in public comments. When sending a label or document photo in WhatsApp, show the needed reference and cover unrelated information, such as your address or payment details.
The home-page form lets you review the summary before sending. You choose what to share and when to send it to BUSCA.
